We visited the Memorial Chorten, the National Library, and the imposing Tashichho Dzong, a fortress-monastery that serves as Bhutan’s government seat.

Day 2: Thimphu’s Cultural Treasures
We immersed ourselves in Bhutanese culture by visiting the Folk Heritage Museum, the Textile Museum, and the Zorig Chusum School of Traditional Arts. Witnessing the unique beauty of Bhutanese crafts and learning about their preservation was extremely enlightening.

Day 3: Travel to Punakha Valley
We travelled to Punakha Valley from Thimphu, passing through stunning vistas of terraced fields and mountain passes. In Punakha, we visited the famed Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece located at the confluence of two rivers.

Day 4: Paro, Bhutan’s Gateway
In Paro, we hiked to the famed Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. The route took us through pine forests and provided stunning views of the monastery situated perilously on a rock. We also went to the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most revered temples.

Day 5: Exploring Phobjikha Valley
Our journey continued to Phobjikha Valley, a magnificent glacier valley and a protected habitat for endangered black-necked cranes. We were charmed by the valley’s natural beauty and spiritual tranquillity.
