The launch of the Indore Metro will be carried out virtually byPrime Minister Narendra Modi. This date also coincides with the birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, adding a cultural and emotional touch to the event. While the PM will inaugurate it from Bhopal, the people of Indore will witness the launch of Madhya Pradesh’s first-ever metro train.
Indore Metro Stations & Route
The first operational section of the Indore Metro is a 6-km-long “Super Priority Corridor”. This stretch includes five stations and connects key points on the Super Corridor, one of the city’s most rapidly developing zones.

Special Tribute Ride for Women
The first-ever official metro ride will be dedicated to women, especially in honor of Ahilyabai Holkar Jayanti. Female commuters from different professions including sanitation workers, IT employees, and public servants are invited to be the first passengers of Indore Metro. This launch is just the beginning. In the coming years, the Indore Metro is expected to expand to over 31 kilometers under the Yellow Line project. The complete corridor will include 28 stations with underground and elevated sections.
