Maui has two airports, one of which is used extremely infrequently. The principal airport is Kahului Airport (OGG). This airport is situated in central Maui, about 30 minutes from Wailea and 45 minutes from Ka’anapali. Kahului Airport offers inter-island, domestic, and international flights.

The second airport, Kapalua Airport, is in West Maui, not far from Ka’anapali. Mokulele Airlines primarily operates flights to Kapalua Airport from Honolulu.

Weather:

Hawaii is in the tropics, so you can expect mild weather all year. However, there are undoubtedly months with more rainfall. And if you want to maximize your chances of avoiding rain on your trip, avoid visiting during those months.

While Lahaina is a culturally significant place with a dynamic culture, travel to the town is now closed while it is being restored. However, the rest of Maui is open to visitors. The fire in Lahaina did not impact any other sections of the island.
